Seedling Tree Sales for Converse CountyEvery year the Converse County Conservation District puts together a list of seedling trees that are available to the public for ordering. This year, the list will become available in November. Certain species of trees can only be ordered in a limited quantity; so, be sure to get your form in as soon as possible to insure that you will receive those species of trees. For any ordering question please call your local district.
For proper care and pruning of your trees the USDA Forest Service released an exceptional manual. The Wyoming Tree Owner’s Manual is a comprehensive guide for tree care information and guidance and covers a wide range of topics including: selecting the proper tree, planting, pruning, how to hire an arborist and tree removal. Tree ProgramWe provided trees to the City of Douglas and the Town of Glenrock for their Trees for Trash programs. We also gave tree presentations to all of the Douglas 4th grade students and gave each student a tree to take home and plant in honor of Arbor Day

Forestry Education ResourcesThe district has books on identification, planting, maintenance, insects, disease, etc. to be checked out. In addition, several pamphlets are available free of charge. Conservation Trees and Shrubs Pocket ID Guides have been made available at cost at the district office.
