Land Use Planning

 

Goal One:  The Converse County Conservation District will work with

local, state, and  federal agencies on land use planning efforts.

 

Action: The district  will  continue to work with the Medicine Bow National

Forest Coalition.

 

Action: The district will be active members of the Converse County

Together Now and Tomorrow Advisory Group.

 

Action:  The district will work with city and county officials on land use

issues upon request as they arise.   

 

Goal Two:  The Converse County Conservation District will provide

assistance for land users.

 

Action:  The district will provide subdivision, agricultural land conversion, and urban sprawl reviews upon request.

 

Action:  The district will assist landowners seeking information about land use and land management.

                                                                                                                             

Goal Three:  The Converse County Conservation District will address the natural resource issues of small landowners. 

 

Action:  The district will provide “Barnyards and Backyards Wyoming” for 25 small acreage landowners within the county.

 

Action:   The district will offer workshops providing information for small acreage landowners in 2009.

 

Action:  The district will offer technical assistance to small acreage

landowners upon request.

 

 

  Watershed Planning

 

Goal One:  The Converse County Conservation District will promote

watershed planning on a locally-led level.

 

Action:  The district will educate the public on watershed planning.

 

Action:  The district will assist in locally-led watershed planning efforts
