Legislation

 

Goal One:  The Converse County Conservation District will be active in following local, state, and national issues regarding natural

resources.

Action:  The district will stay informed of local, state, and national legislative  issues.

 

Action:  The district will host a legislative luncheon in December 2008.

 

Action:  The district will assist the WACD staff during legislative

session of 2009.

 

Community Involvement

 

Goal One:  The Converse County Conservation District will work with other organizations and agencies in implementing natural resource programs.

 

Action:  The district will work closely with the Natural  Resources Conservation Service, Weed and Pest, Extension, Wyoming Department of Agriculture, University of Wyoming, County Commissioners, and others.

                                                                                                                             

Goal Two:  The Converse County Conservation District will

encourage the involvement of county residents, businesses and

organizations in District projects and programs.

 

Action:  The district will sponsor community enhancement projects.

 

Action:  The district will provide a septic system cost-share

program.

 

Goal Three:  The Converse County Conservation District will provide an opportunity to thank natural resource users and supporters of the district.

 

Action:  The district will sponsor an annual BBQ and awards

evening where all of the public is invited in July of 2009.

 

Action:  The district will provide awards and certificates of

appreciation to employees,  supervisors, and cooperators.

 

Action:  The district will award a windbreak of the year award to qualified cost-share participants that have shown care of their project.
