Funding, Administration and Accounting
Converse County Conservation District is approved for 1 mil of funding voted on by the residents of Converse County. Currently, the District operates on about three-tenths of that 1 mil. The Converse County Conservation District held their annual budget hearing in conjunction with the Converse County Commissioners Budget Hearing. The District also receives operating money through state biennium funding, topo map sales and our seedling tree program. The District utilized two grants (both through the Wyoming Department of Agriculture) to host a Household Hazardous Waste and Pesticide Collection Day and the Annual Well Water Testing Day. Converse County Conservation District maintains responsible fiscal procedures and records to be accountable with the funding we receive. Preparation of the District’s 2007-2008 budget was in accordance with state statutes and submitted to the Converse County Commissioners, Wyoming Association of Conservation Districts and Wyoming Department of Agriculture. All monthly, quarterly, state and federal government reports were filed in a timely manner. The District continued to be in compliance with the Wyoming Department of Agriculture, Wyoming Association of Conservation Districts, Wyoming Department of Revenue, Wyoming Department of Employment, Internal Revenue Service, and Wyoming Department of Audit. |
